My GP of Spain

My GP of Spain
Wednesday 19th May 2010
After a training on last wednesday in Portugal, we took to road on thursday with my parents heading to Spain. A few 1000km later and a night of sleeping, we were in Bellpuig on friday under a grey sky and with a very cold wind...

I went to see my team and then went to see the track. They watered the track a lot, fortunately this time the EMX125 riders will ride before us!

Saturday morning, my day began with a big crash in the waves. I took a lot of time to restart the bike and once I could came back into the pitlane there was only 5 minutes left. I decided to take the other bike, as the first one had a bent handlebar. I got back into the track to ride for a few laps, but there was no transponder on the bike...

Timed practice didn't went better, I fell twice, bent another handlebar, had to change bike again... I took the 5th time, very angry and disappointed.

Considering all my crashes in the morning and in last week-end in Portugal, I was quite under pressure when I came behind the starting gate for the first moto. I had contusions everywhere and was worried about making a new mistake... But I found a good pace and could take second position.
A rain shower started at the end of our race, the MX2/MX2 and EMX125 weren't as lucky as we were...

They worked a lot on the track during the night but it quickly became rough on sunday morning, however I prefered a lot the track like that compared to yesterday.

Second moto, I had a pretty decent start although I had a hard time in the waves with Nikki Scott and almost fell down. Anyway I could start in second position and found quickly where to pass Larissa Papenmeier for the lead, but once again Steffi Laier was very fast and took the lead at mid-race.

This was a nice operation for the world standings as I'm now ranked second with 17 points ahead the 3rd. However I'm still disapointed about my week-end, last year I won 3 GPs in 4 rounds and this year I still havn't won any.

I keep the work without loosing any hope, there are 4 GPs left before the end of the championship.

I got back home in Toulouse on sunday and rode yesterday and today. I will be at Chaulnes this week-end for the Women's French series.

Thank you for your support!
