My GP of France

My GP of France
Sunday 6th June 2010
I had a nice race on Saturday with a second place on a very dry and hot track here at St Jean d'Angély. Of course I would have prefer to win but Steffi Laier was very fast, she started ahead and could easily pull away. It was a great race with all the crowd all around the track supporting me.

However Sunday was another day and I could not taste victory. We had rain during 3 or 4 hours during the night and the track was a mud fest. I felt good in the warm up with a nice lap time, and although I like to ride in those conditions I knew that any mistake would be unforgiven.

I had a decent start despite all the crashed in the first corner. I was third when I lost the front in a deep rut but I could get back to racing quite quickly. Then I saw Steffi Laier down too. I stopped thinking and my only goal was to extend the gap with her. But I made a lot of mistakes and fell down two more times. The last one was cost me a lot, as I could not manage to restart the bike and stayed blocked during several minutes.

I could found my way back from 21th to 13th position to score a little 8 points. I'm disapointed about this result especially for my home GP.

I want to thank my fans and all the crowd which gave me a strong support this week-end.

See you
