Sun and Brou !
Tuesday 29th May 2012
This past weekend the sixth round of the Women’s French Championship was held in Brou. We were graced with sunny and warm temperatures similar to weather we would have July.
Unfortunately this weekend wouldn’t be as successful as the previous races have been for the team. Livia had another good weekend, but Megane wasn’t so lucky and found herself taking a trip to the medical center.
On a technical and fast track, Livia qualified in pole position with a 6 sec gap ahead of Jessie Joineau. Grabbing two of the three holeshots, with a bad start in the last moto, Livia was able to continue her winning steak and go undefeated. With 3 moto wins and the overall for the weekend, she leaves Brou with a maximum 75 points towards the championship.
Megane had a rollercoaster weekend. She qualified 4th fastest in timed practice, and would back that up with a 4th place finish in the first moto.
After a hard crash in the second moto Megane would not be able to remount and finish the moto. An injury to her right shoulder would force the young rider of One One Four to sit out the remainder of the day. She will follow up this week with more exams to find out the extent of her injury.
Livia continues her preparation for SX, and is heading to Jean D’angely this weekend for the French GP MX1/MX2 .
Megane is taking some time to rest her shoulder, she hopes to recover and come back swinging for the next round in two weeks.
See you soon
